Strategic Engagement Options

Understand the terrain. Build the path forward.

A four-month strategic engagement for academic leaders and institutions navigating transition, organizational complexity, stalled priorities, team challenges, or a new institutional possibility.

Every engagement begins with discovery. The difference is how much of the implementation we build together.
The Four-Month Container

One month to understand the terrain. Three months to build.

Discovery establishes what is actually happening. The remaining three months turn that understanding into decisions, structures, practices, and forward movement.

Month 1

Discovery

Read the terrain, surface the pressure points, clarify the priorities, and design the 90-day path.

Month 2

Begin the Build

Establish the first structures, decisions, and leadership practices required to move the work.

Month 3

Strengthen

Test what is being built, address emerging dynamics, and strengthen implementation.

Month 4

Sustain

Refine the structures, reinforce leadership capacity, and prepare the work to continue.

Months 2–4: Implementation and Transformation Build, test, strengthen, and sustain
How the Container Works

First, we understand. Then, we build.

The issue on the surface is rarely the whole story. The discovery process helps us understand the people, context, practices, and power dynamics shaping the work before deciding what should happen next.

Month One

Discovery and Design

A focused read of the organizational terrain through available materials, selected conversations, direct observation, and reflective strategy sessions.

  • Document and data review
  • Stakeholder conversations
  • Direct observation
  • Strategic reflection

Outputs: a written terrain-and-hot-spots report, facilitated readout, and prioritized 90-day plan.

Months Two Through Four

Implementation and Transformation

The discovery findings become the foundation for focused work involving leadership practices, team structures, communication, decision-making, and implementation.

  • Strategic coaching
  • Priority sequencing
  • Structure development
  • Implementation support

Standard cadence: eight coaching sessions across the four-month engagement. The Full Container also includes six hours of hands-on build work.

Levels of Partnership

Choose how deeply we build together.

Every option includes the complete Month 1 Discovery and Design phase. The difference is the level of coaching, hands-on development, and onsite involvement provided during implementation.

Included
  • Full Discovery and Design process
  • Written analysis and 90-day plan
  • Ongoing strategic coaching
  • Guidance as you build internally

Investment
$12,500
Option Three

Full Container + Onsite

Virtual and Onsite

The full engagement, plus two onsite days for live observation, facilitation, and strategic work in your environment.

Included
  • Everything in the Full Container
  • Two onsite working days
  • Live facilitation or team kickoff
  • Direct observation of dynamics
Sessions
Same as the Full Container, with two days delivered onsite
Best Fit

The work would benefit from live observation, in-room facilitation, and direct engagement with your team.

Investment
$25,000

All options are four-month containers and include the full Month 1 Discovery and Design phase. Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes. A higher-touch option with weekly sessions is available. Onsite travel is included for standard locations; extended-distance or hard-to-reach locations, and trips booked inside 21 days, carry a $1,500 travel fee.

The Next Step

Let’s determine what the work requires.

The strongest option depends on the challenge or possibility, internal capacity, timing, organizational context, and level of implementation support needed.
